Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and local-storage technologies Planoro uses and why. We use only what is necessary to run the service and remember your preferences.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, which Planoro uses to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences on your own device.

2. No advertising, no cross-site tracking

No advertising, no third-party tracking cookies. Planoro does not use advertising pixels, marketing trackers, or cross-site tracking of any kind, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not use Google Analytics.

We do measure traffic, and we want to be exact about how. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and assigns you no persistent identifier. It records the page visited, the referring page, your approximate country, and your device and browser type, and it distinguishes one visit from another using a short-lived one-way hash derived from your IP address and user-agent, which cannot be used to identify you and is not retained beyond the day it is generated. It is never used for advertising and never follows you to other websites.

Why there is no cookie banner. Consent is required for storing or reading information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary. The only thing Planoro stores on your device is the sign-in cookie the service cannot work without, plus preferences you set yourself, which never leave your browser. Our traffic measurement stores nothing on your device at all. On that basis no consent banner is required. If we ever introduce a technology that does need consent, we will update this policy and ask you first.

3. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary: required for sign-in, session continuity, and secure access to the application.
  • Functional: remember your preferences and interface state on your device (for example language, theme, and list view choices). These never leave your browser.

4. Cookies we set

NamePurposeCategoryDuration
sb-*-auth-tokenAuthentication session set by our auth provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in and authorise requests.Strictly necessaryPersistent until sign-out or expiry
planoro_hub_sessionKeeps a worker signed in to the external job portal after they enter their access PIN. Set only if you use that portal, and tied to the access link it was issued for — regenerating the link invalidates it immediately.Strictly necessary30 days

These are the only HTTP cookies Planoro sets. Both are first-party and strictly necessary; neither is used for tracking. The authentication cookie may be split across numbered chunks and is cleared when you sign out.

5. Local and session storage

The following keys are stored on your device only and are never sent to our servers. They hold preferences and interface state:

6. Third-party providers

Our payment provider (Stripe) runs server-side and does not set cookies in your browser during normal use of the app. Optional Google Calendar sign-in happens on Google's own pages, governed by Google's policies. Vercel Web Analytics, described in section 2, sets no cookies. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of service providers.

Planoro also installs a service worker so the app can be added to your home screen and work offline. It caches application files on your device; you can remove it by clearing site data or uninstalling the app. If you turn on notifications, your browser issues a push endpoint that we store so we can send them — this is not a cookie, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser's site settings.

7. Your choices

You can manage cookies and local storage by:

  • Adjusting your browser's privacy settings.
  • Clearing stored cookies and site data.
  • Using private/incognito browsing.

Blocking the strictly necessary authentication cookie will prevent sign-in and stop the application from working.

8. Do Not Track

Because we do no cross-site tracking, "Do Not Track" browser signals do not change what we do — we already set only strictly necessary and functional technologies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date when we do.
